Field Manual // How it plays

A whole planet is your battlefield

  • Spherical routes

The enemy path winds around a rotating planet. Spin the world with one finger, place towers with the other, and watch flanks you cannot see yet.

  • 13 tower lines

Pulse lasers, cryo, EMP, gravity wells, nanites, orbital strikes, and more. Every tower has upgrade tiers, sockets, and a damage type the Riftborn answer.

  • 11 enemy families

Runners, shields, armour, swarms, splitters, regenerators, phasewalkers, carriers, and disruptors. Each family teaches a counter and punishes one-note builds.

  • Deterministic waves

Every run is fully deterministic and server-verified. Same commands, same result: leaderboards measure decisions, not luck or lag.

  • Commanders and perks

Bring a Commander with owned and equipped effects, time Combat Perks like Orbital Strike and Time Dilation, and grow a permanent Stat Tree.

  • One account, everywhere

Progression is server-owned. Restore your account on any device; currency and rewards always arrive from the server, never from local saves.

Frontier Command vs the Riftborn

Frontier Command

Chunky alloys, hazard stripes, live machinery

Human carrier fleets and bunker crews reclaiming colonies planet by planet. Scrappy, overloaded, dry humor under pressure.

  • Industrial tower silhouettes you can read at a glance
  • Team-color emissives and active factory hardware
  • A planet-carrier commander making fast calls: you
Riftborn

Bioluminescent shells, organic shields, phase membranes

A hostile planet ecology that fights like a military force once the Alpha Core wakes up, studying your builds and escalating wave composition.

  • Clear class silhouettes: every threat is readable
  • Coordinated waves that probe for weak damage types
  • An evolving planetary intelligence beneath it all
Campaign // m1 to m300 and beyond

The war for the Alpha Rift

  1. m1 - m50First bunker to Outer Ring Breach

Learn the route, live placement, and first upgrades - then break the first defensive ring in the opening public server race.

  2. m51 - m100Core Signal

The carrier hears trapped human crews beneath the Rift. Survival turns into a push deeper.

  3. m101 - m200Siege Horizon and Twin Command

New enemy roles punish one-note builds; paired enemy commanders force better perk timing and loadout planning.

  4. m201 - m300Titan Gate to Alpha Breach

Permanent progression comes to a head against a raid-boss-scale core - the launch campaign capstone and a server-first prestige moment.

  5. post-m300Deeper Rift

New planet sectors, enemy families, commanders, tower branches, and seasonal modifiers keep the front moving.

Questions from the frontier

What is Alpha Planet TD?

Alpha Planet TD is a 3D sci-fi tower defense game for Android and iOS. Each mission drops your bunker onto a tiny spherical planet inside the Alpha Rift; you build and upgrade towers while waves of Riftborn creatures rush the bunker along a winding route.

What platforms does Alpha Planet TD run on?

Alpha Planet TD is built for Android and iOS phones and tablets, and it is landscape-only by design so the whole planet stays readable during combat.

How do the Riftborn enemy families work?

Each Riftborn family teaches a counter: runners punish slow builds, shieldbearers resist until shields break, armoured bulwarks blunt physical damage, swarmers and splitters flood the route, regenerators outlast low damage, phasewalkers slip past bursts, and carriers and disruptors protect the rest. The wiki lists every enemy with stats and weaknesses.

Is progression stored on my device or on a server?

Progression, currency, purchases, and leaderboards are server-authoritative. Your account lives on Alpha Planet TD servers, so progress restores across devices and competitive results stay fair.

Where can I find tower and enemy stats?

The public wiki at alphaplanet.dev/wiki/ is generated from the same validated data files the game uses, covering towers, enemies, statuses, Combat Perks, Commanders, the Stat Tree, progression, and the damage type matrix.
